Henry Ferris worked as an editor at various New York publishing companies (William Morrow, Times Books, Houghton Mifflin, Bantam Books, Simon and Schuster) for 35 years. He now works independently with writers, developing their ideas into book projects (and book proposals), coaching them through the drafting of their manuscripts and also editing completed manuscripts. Among the authors he has worked with are: Gail Collins (America’s Women), Laurence Bergreen (Over the Edge of the World), Ken Blanchard, Bruce Feiler, James L. Swanson (Manhunt), Joy-Ann Reid, Simon Winchester, William Kamkwamba (The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind), Laurence Leamer, Bruce Henderson (Sons and Soldiers), Amy Ephron, Buzz Aldrin, and Barack Obama (Dreams from My Father).
