David Groff is a veteran book editor. At Crown Publishers, he published many bestselling authors and literary award winners. Writers he has worked have been published by Basic Books, Crown, Hachette, Morrow, Pocket, Random House, Riverhead, Simon & Schuster, St. Martin’s, and Wiley, as well as many independent and university presses.   

 

David has led seminars on publishing and author development at writers conferences and MFA programs nationwide. He has organized and appeared at many events at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs annual conferences. David has taught courses in publishing at Rutgers University and New York University. Since 2007 he has taught poetry, nonfiction, and publishing in the MFA creative writing program of the City College of New York. He is the award-winning author of three books of poems.
