Carla Jablonski
Carla Jablonski is an author, editor, book doctor, and a ghostwriter, specializing in books for the middle-grade and young adult markets. She has worked for packagers (such as Alloy, Mega-Books, and Parachute Publishing) and publishers (Penguin, Simon and Schuster, HarperCollins, and others) as well as for individual author clients. She has edited dozens of best-selling mass market series, including R.L. Stine’s Ghosts of Fear Street and Give Yourself Goosebumps, Choose Your Own Adventure, The Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, the various Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen series, as well as trade and literary individual titles.
She is a widely published author, including the Books of Magic (HarperCollins) series, based on Neil Gaiman’s popular comic books. Her two YAs for Razorbill/Penguin, Thicker than Water and Silent Echoes were both included on the NYPL “Books for the Teen Age” lists, a selection of the best books of the previous year, chosen by New York librarians and committees of teen readers. Her middle-grade graphic novel trilogy Resistance (First Second Books/Macmillan) won a Sydney Taylor silver medal and appears on many best graphic novels lists. She has written several books for Disney Press.
