If you are a careful reader of acknowledgment pages or “special thanks” credits, you’ll see Alice has over twenty years experience guiding authors at all stages—from concept to polished pages. 

 

She has edited and cowritten books by Buddhist teachers including Rebecca Li (Silent Illumination), Lodro Rinzler (Take Back Your Mind), Loch Kelly (The Way of Effortless Mindfulness), Miles Neale (Gradual Awakening), Bonnie Myotai Treace (Empty Branches and Winter Moon), and Lama Surya Das (Make Me One with Everything), as well as Adyashanti (The Direct Way and The Most Important Thing).

Other recent nonfiction projects include Joe Loizzo and Elazar Aslan’s Boundless Leadership (Shambhala, 2021), Serena Dyer Pisoni and Saje Dyer’s The Knowing (Sounds True, 2021), My Dear Boy (Potomac Books, 2019), Dead Set on Living, cowritten with Chris Grosso (Simon & Schuster, 2018),  Sherianna Boyle's Emotional Detox (S&S, 2018) and Emotional Detox Now (St. Martin’s, 2021).

 

Ryland, Peters & Small has published four books by Alice: The Green Cure; Be More Tree; Mindful Beads; and The Secret Language of Herbs. She is also the editor of two anthologies from SkyLight Paths—Next to Godliness and Bread, Body, Spirit—as well as two published by Sounds True—The Self-Acceptance Project and The Dharma of Dogs.

Before focusing exclusively on publishing, Alice acquired books and developed scripts for film and television, including A Few Good Men by Aaron Sorkin. She also story-produced documentary and reality series for AMC, Bravo, and MTV.
